February 25Listening to Music Genome Project on the Web. It really is a cool way to discover new music you've never heard before, plus old favorites you've forgotten. If you're in Canada just enter 90210 as your zip code 'n' it works very well. Check out some of the songs I've bookmarked : My Music @ Pandora

February 4Now that i have an iPod, i know what all the talk is about. it works flawlessly, there is no FM radio in the subway tunnels, so the Pod is cool for music from the Web. Now i'm into the Podcasting scene. It's like radio, free from iTunes. DiggNation is very funny if you like current Tech News delivered by tipsy crazies. TWIT (this week in tech) is an excellent geek chat fest with Leo Laporte, & a bunch of his old Tech TV buddies. Winter 2006Global warming is going nicely here in Edmonton Canada. Barely below freezing in January and no significant snow of any kind all winter long. (so far) It rained ( ! ) at the end of January. I went to work on the light rail line to avoid fighting ice in the bus, now it never snows, go figure. |

Light Rail Station Opens Jan 1 2006The new Health Sciences light rail station is open now so the subway line has finally reached the light at the end of the tunnel, above ground across from the main entrance of the University Hospital. I drive the light rail train through the tunnels everyday at work so it's really nice to be outside in the fresh air beside a wide street when i get to the end of the line instead of in a gloomy underground cave type station. |
